Your First Visit

What to expect on your first visit to Creed Orthodontics

At Creed Orthodontics, our mission is to provide the highest quality in orthodontic care in a comfortable, easy-going environment. Dr. Creed and our highly trained team of orthodontic specialists strive to form an individualized relationship with every patient, and will work hard to create a customized treatment plan to suit your specific orthodontic needs.

Your First Visit

We’re always excited to meet new patients – so much so that your first visit with us is complimentary! During your first appointment, Dr. Creed will perform a clinical exam to assess your individual treatment needs.

Diagnostic Records

After your initial exam, we’ll take diagnostic records including X-rays, photos, and impressions to allow us to better study and understand your specific orthodontic situation. These diagnostic records, in combination with your medical and dental history, will help Dr. Creed develop a treatment plan that will best suit your needs. These records will also help us track your orthodontic progress and determine how far along you are in your treatment.

Consultation

For more complex cases, a separate consultation appointment is sometimes needed. During this visit, Dr. Creed will explain your orthodontic diagnoses and treatment options in greater detail.

Regular Appointments

Once you’re ready to begin your orthodontic treatment, we’ll schedule an appointment to place your appliances – these can include braces, expanders, retainers, Invisalign, or any other appliance we offer. This appointment generally lasts about an hour, after which you’ll visit our office every 4 to 10 weeks for adjustments, which usually take 20 to 40 minutes to complete.

Please keep in mind that Dr. Creed sees patients by appointment only. We understand how valuable your time is and make every effort to stay on schedule, and we ask that you extend us the same courtesy. If you cannot make your appointment for any reason, please contact us and let us know as soon as possible.

Open Communication

We believe that open communication is the key to great orthodontic care. We promise to speak candidly and openly with you about our diagnosis, our recommendations, any alternative treatment options, and any symptoms that may require further treatment. Together, we can help you achieve a beautiful, confident smile that will last you a lifetime!
